Hello. I was just wondering if anyone knew the number of California Edition/roofs that have been produced. Do you know how many were made each year? I've got a '97 318ti with the California roof and would like to know how many others were produced that year. At one point I guessed (and there is a thread on "What type of roof do you have?") and came up with 5% max of '96-'99 production. Ballpark- that's 1000 California roof cars. Just a complete guess of course.  Look here too: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...uction+numbers __________________

The California edition was only made in 1996 I believe. It was similar to the club sport in that both were considered Individual models. After '96 the cali top just became a standard option when buying the car. __________________ ~Dave~

A true 1996 cali edition had 15" style 18 wheels, leather wheel, OBC, roof and... something else IIRC. I owned one with cloth interior but I think leather was an option. __________________
