The tires aren't my thing, but more power to ya for doin something different. I wanted to bag my Ti for the driving performance since bags, used in the correct situation, are a performance suspension. Plus it would be nice to be able to lay out while sitting still and ride a little lower than stock going down the road. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. Very dangerous thing to do there. Airbags are not my thing, but you did a great job with them, pretty original on a ti! I just hope you don't kill anyone when you crash because your tire failed. __________________ -Jeff | | | 06-09-2009, 11:47 PM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: eugene oregon Posts: 23 | on my jetta i was runnin a 165-45-15 on a 8.5 in wheel yes its done i even auto crossed with them...in the vw world we love streched ass tires!!!! | | | 06-09-2009, 11:49 PM | #12 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by Flametail I wanted to bag my Ti for the driving performance since bags, used in the correct situation, are a performance suspension. | Not sure where you've heard this from, but it's complete bs. Your stock base model suspension will handle and perform much better than air bag suspension. That being said, it looks cool but you won't see me doin that to my car, no way. | | | 06-10-2009, 12:20 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | In certain circumstances, it is considered a sport suspension. I have seen clips on TV from performance shows about adding them to older muscle cars to help them handle better. I wasn't really aware it wouldn't help our cars but I should have figured that. And yes, I understand that there is a huge difference between our cars and 60's and 70's muscle cars. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's.
