Thumbs up Was wondering if anyone can help me with my 318Ti E46 2003 mode

Sorry guys,

Was wondering if anyone can help me with my 318Ti E46 2003 model. I have a problem starting the car. The 1st diagnostic i ran i got the camshaft sensor error. But before i can could replace it the car refused to start. Ran the diagnostic again and the crank and camshaft sensor was picked up as a error, replaced both but still the problem continues. Ran the Diagnostic for the 3rd time and no errors. Cleaned out my MAF, checked my Petrol pump, Fuel Filter and spark plugs and they all good. Spark is fine, Injectors are firing in the normal sequence(1-4-3-2). Still struggles most times to start. My cams was realigned as they were out. Checked the Fuel pressure in front and its fine. I managed to get it started and drove for 40km's but the power was lacking and was idling erratic.

Just wanted to know what else can i check. Was thinking maybe its electrical or maybe i need a software upgrade?

Any ideas people.......had a BMW mechanic and he seems confused now because he checked everything as well.....i think we overlooking something small...!!!!

is there a vacuum leak somewhere? I know that can cause issues starting the car and idling as well (if you can even start it).
i'll be thinking as i go to school for ya...

cams re-aligned? Was it off a tooth or something?

stuck idle control valve, (mine was stuck 1/4 open and it could not hold idle, and revving it wouldn't smooth it out and smelled real rich)

Engine coolant temp sensor?

Did the cam and crank sensors go bad after some work was performed? And did you replace with new ones? Seems a little odd they both went out at the same time.
