Arrow What was your first mod? need advice...

Hey, I am looking at various types of mods for my 95ti's performance. I was wondering where to start? Intake? Exhaust? Performance Chip? Wheels? Short shift kit?? i don't want to change the suspension yet because the shocks have just been changed.
What was your first mod?

Thanks,

Hmmm... first mod? That was a while ago. I think the first thing I did to my compact was upgrade the wheels and tires: 17" BBS RKs wrapped in Yokohama AVS ES100s.

But my favorite mod is my Downing/Atlanta Supercharger.

Mine was carbon fiber trim on the inside... doesn't do anything for the performance.. but you asked for my 1st mod. For the record, I don't regret it... I get most compliments on my trim.

My first mod was a short shift. It won't make you faster but the shorter throw is nice.

Is a short shift hard to install?

Depends on what you consider hard. I think you need to get under the car to install it. I had my independent install it for me.

My first mod was fog lights and the SSK I have installed in my trunk .

Some ideas though:

Appearance:
Fogs
Parking Light Delete
Paint lower trim to match body color

Performance:
SSK
Exhaust
Chip
X-brace

Those are some good mods to start off with that won't break the bank and will be fairly simple to do.

Thumbs up

Angel Eye Headlights with 100 Watt highbeams.
Foglights and MP3 player followed shortly.

The best bang for the buck though, is doubling your brake lights.
Two bulbs: $5
Speaker wire: free
Electrical tape: free
Duct tape: free
Super glue: free
Having people notice it when you hit your brakes at night...
