Hey, I am looking at various types of mods for my 95ti's performance. I was wondering where to start? Intake? Exhaust? Performance Chip? Wheels? Short shift kit?? i don't want to change the suspension yet because the shocks have just been changed. What was your first mod? Thanks, __________________ canadian_ti 1997 Acura CL | | | 03-02-2005, 12:44 AM | #2 | islander on the mainland Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: SF Bay Area Posts: 286 | Hmmm... first mod? That was a while ago. I think the first thing I did to my compact was upgrade the wheels and tires: 17" BBS RKs wrapped in Yokohama AVS ES100s. But my favorite mod is my Downing/Atlanta Supercharger. __________________ moku 1996 318ti Cali Top w/ Downing/Atlanta Supercharger 2003 M3 w/ CSL trunk, splitters, & diffuser | | | 03-02-2005, 12:54 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Cola. I get most compliments on my trim. | | | 03-02-2005, 01:02 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | My first mod was a short shift. It won't make you faster but the shorter throw is nice. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-02-2005, 01:04 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Canada Posts: 101 | Is a short shift hard to install? __________________ canadian_ti 1997 Acura CL | | | 03-02-2005, 02:18 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Depends on what you consider hard. I think you need to get under the car to install it. I had my independent install it for me. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-02-2005, 02:20 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Colyumbia S.C. Some ideas though: Appearance: Fogs Parking Light Delete Paint lower trim to match body color Performance: SSK Exhaust Chip X-brace Those are some good mods to start off with that won't break the bank and will be fairly simple to do. | | | 03-02-2005, 03:22 AM | #9 | I miss my Ti....... :( Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 828 | DINAN - Chip I thought it was faster. -Chad | | | 03-02-2005, 05:48 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Maryland, USA Posts: 678 | Angel Eye Headlights with 100 Watt highbeams. Foglights and MP3 player followed shortly. The best bang for the buck though, is doubling your brake lights. Two bulbs: $5 Speaker wire: free Electrical tape: free Duct tape: free Super glue: free Having people notice it when you hit your brakes at night... __________________ BostonGreen 97' w/ DASC & Technique Stage 1 software M3 front bumper.
