Default Freshie

I put down a deposit and got a copy of the title today, I'm going to get the money tomorrow, and picking up the car Monday (if all goes as planned).

The pictures are from the advertisement, I'll have better ones from a real camera Monday.

-98 Active 100k on the clock
-Cali top
-Traction Control
-M3 sill plates
-Heated leather seats/cruise
-M3 front bumper
-M3 quarter panels (or ti quarter panels w/m3 vents, looks stock whichever it really is)
-M3 springs (2"-ish drop)
-1pc halo projection headlights
-New Millennium Silver exterior/doorjambs (engine bay is still boston green)
-18" M3 wheels w/new rubber

And a big thanks to everyone who helped me out and answered all of my questions!

EDIT: And I have unlimited carfax until 4-20 if anyone needs something run through.

Not a fan of the headlights or m3 vents. But otherwise a really nice looking car! You're for sure getting it then?

marley- Yeah, it's an auto Interestingly enough the seller told me his problem with starting the project was that he couln't find an auto anywhere, he said they were all sticks. I seem to have the opposite problem. I live in Chesterfield (23mile area) but am frequently in Grosse Pointe/Warren/Detroit/Dearborn.

teetime- I intend to do the engine bay, he told me the same people that painted the rest of the car wanted $800 just to remove everything and prep/paint the engine bay. I've been trying to research & compare specs because I'd eventually like to do a turbo/supercharger/2.8l swap, & in the midst of that I'd paint... but the gas mileage is crucial to me as it's going to be my daily driver until I can scrape together enough for a winter beater (and I drive a whole lot), so I'm looking at how I could run a light turbo w/boost controller so I can tweak gas mileage, but it appears the exhaust manifold/rest of the setup have to be quite custom... spose I need to get the car first before anything else

naustin- Seems people either love or hate the headlights. As for the vents they're not really my style, but I don't mind them. They look a little better in person and they are actually sunk into the fender (not stick on) & really clean looking for whatever it's worth. And yes, as far as I know, it's for sure mine as of Monday.

Bloodrunsdry- It's on the west side of Michigan, I woke up @ 5:30am yesterday and drove 3 hours to testdrive it

Forgot to mention it's got a great cd player/ipod hookup and drilled & slotted rotors w/real nice pads too, but it needs a little love (triangle shaped interior door pieces on the other side of the rearview mirrors, jacking point cover for the back bumper, engine's pretty dirty, cali top needs to be helped to close).

I'm pretty excited, can't stop thinking about it

Ditto, but headlights are always replaceable. Wheels don't look bad, but I don't recall ever seeing that style on an M3. Please tell us there isn't an ///M3 badge stuck on the back hatch.

"Please tell us there isn't an ///M3 badge stuck on the back hatch."

I just laughed my ass off... yes there is and it's the first thing I'm going to do when I get home is remove it, haha.

3DGE - I think tifreak is right, he cut the holes and mounted them himself. He says that they are cupped and water can't get behind the fenders even though they do look like they are open holes.

Borg- Not sure if they really are M3 wheels or not, that's just what he told me. I think they're factory BMW wheels, and if not, they're really nice aftermarket wheels with BMW centers.. I like 'em either way.
