I just got my 1997 with cali top a month ago. As obsessed as I am with it, I couldn't imagine buying another one, although I would like the leather seats... http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/ctd/1738446619.html As I read in the thread, "you know you own a Ti when..." and they talked about "searching on craigslist for 318ti and you have no idea why". Guilty as charged... I also wanted thank to everyone in the community for all the helpful posts. Searching through them I've been able to learn/fix several things on my car. First one was a '96 avus base model picked up in San Diego -275 miles. Second was the '97 schwarz sport, flew to Michigan, drove it home 1500+ miles. Third, '95 clubsport w/broken clutch/improperly installed tranny, rode Amtrak to Stockton, rented uhaul, towed it home 300+ miles. Four requirements: 1. Black 2. Sport(or clubsport) 3. 5 speed 4. Price If it meets those qualifications, it's worth the trip | | | 05-21-2010, 02:24 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | I don't think the wife would be happy if I had to tow it home...haha 1. it black 2. its a clubsport 3. see number 2 4.
