It's like breaking glass, you'd have shards of it all over the place. Not quite like the way glass breaks, but it's the best mental picture I can come up with right now. | | | 03-13-2007, 05:36 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Los Alamos, NM Posts: 344 | dude, what happened to your car SUCKS. My bro took his VW turbo Jetta around this turn at about 55, fishtailed, swung both axles into the curb at exactly the same time, both snapped, and the front axle acted a spear and went right through the whole enigne block and the hood. That was gonna be my car too.... I guess it worked out though, since I snagged a ti. | | | 03-13-2007, 07:29 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Have you checked it out for frame damage? I'd hate to see you spend all the money to fix it, just to find out the frame is f'ed. From those pictures it looks like the area right under the passenger side door took a heavy hit. The frame is basically right under the sheet metal in that area. | | | 03-13-2007, 07:36 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn Have you checked it out for frame damage? My dad said that a body shop can pull the dent outta the door and fix it, and then the inside behind the tire (pass side) my dad said the body shop will need to pull out like a 1/2 inch of it.
