Default Engine Rattle

Iv got a really weird engine rattle that seems to be coming from the manifold area or under it- I originally thought it was the ICV on the throttle body but the more I check the more Im sure it isnt- It fluctuates when I rev the car- almost sounds like something is bouncing about in the intake manifold!?
Anyone have any ideas- Could poss be coming from around this part- Number 6 but iv no idea what it is or what it does!!
Click image for larger version Name:	manifold.jpg Views:	35 Size:	243.3 KB ID:	6172

Failing that how hard is it to remove the entire inlet manifold so I can make sure nothing is in there!! Is it alot of hassle do I need to drain coolant or anything like that??
Thanks people

I did a search on the part on eba and found out its also called a DISA so i searched for that here and came up with
http://www.318ti.org/forum/showpost....21&postcount=4
Can somene tell me what happens when this starts to fail as I have a few issues at the mo that might relate to it!!
Is it a major issue to change or an expensive part??

Here is another thread that might help:

I don't know anything about the part myself.

Mine rattle a little to at idle. But it's nothing really to warry about. It's just the little shaft on the butterfly that gain a little play in the bushings. That what makes it rattle.
I'm not sure if it throws a code when fail, I gotta check. I wouldn't really warry about it excecively...
