I wouldn't think you would notice a performance difference unless you accelerate WOT all the time. You may notice when fuelling up, distance travelled may be less vs fuel used. Even then, it will be negligible. If you accel at 22% throttle with existing tire/wheel setup, and you now accel at 26% throttle to acheive the same results it might not seem noticeable. The biggest thing is unsprung weight. The wider tire will counter the extra weight when it comes to response from cornering, but the amount of difference won't be noticeable unless you can measure every input. Get your new wheels, and if you like the end results vs the trade off, be happy. I'm thinking like maybe an extra buck or 2 at the pumps. |
