Really shows how our cars are at the bottom of their depreciation curves. I don't have anything to add to help with the problem you're having with your car though. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 03-25-2015, 09:30 PM | #17 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: New Hampshire, USA Posts: 73 | Quote: Originally Posted by MINIz guy I find it funny that your car was once destined to the GRM $2014 challenge and now is considered extremely clean. It definitely has rust on the fenders and imperfections around the body but I'm happy with it. Its funky and different and that's why I love these cars. __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit | | | 03-25-2015, 09:35 PM | #18 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: New Hampshire, USA Posts: 73 | Giving it a once over today.. __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit | | | 03-25-2015, 09:52 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: NYC Queens Posts: 225 | i'm curious what size tires you have. I was told it would go away by removing the dipstick if it was and sure enough that did the trick. It was merely a $30 fix and the car runs like a dream now. Thanks for the input guys! __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit Last edited by DerekNH; 03-26-2015 at 06:09 AM. | | | 03-26-2015, 05:53 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Nicephoto Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! That's what happened in my case. __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit | | | 04-02-2015, 04:39 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: NJ Posts: 373 | Reading through a magazine, I found your car! __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 04-02-2015, 01:09 PM | #26 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: New Hampshire, USA Posts: 73 | Quote: Originally Posted by MINIz guy Reading through a magazine, I found your car! | Woah dude that's crazy! He even posted videos of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehEs43exsJU Some may say he's beating on it but I say its just how these cars should be driven. UPDATE: On Wednesday I will be putting in new inner/outer tie rods, ball joints, control arms and bushings along with an alignment. Should feel like a new car afterwards! Here's my car last night on one of the only scenic "driving roads" nearby, Route 1A through Hampton and Rye, NH. Getting stuck in the twisties __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit | | | 04-13-2015, 02:35 PM | #29 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: New Hampshire, USA Posts: 73 | Finally got the refresh kit installed. This included tie rods, control arms, ball joints and any bushings. Also washed and waxed. __________________ Instagram: @derek_lit | | | 04-13-2015, 08:06 PM | #30 | Member Join Date: Aug 2012 Location: Laguna Niguel, CA Posts: 76 | how does the front suspension feel after the refresh? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
