Default Question about 325ti diff

I put M50B25TU engine in my Compact.
Now it is with 3.38 small case diff. I'm wondering what diff to put now. Medium case of course but 3.07 or 3.25?
I don't want to be too slow in the city on chort distances

What gearbox? That would help. 1:1 final ratio? If that's the case, a 3.38 is not bad offers ok acceleration with reasonable mileage.

I was assuming a 1:1 5th gear... all E36 5 speeds have a 1:1 5th if I remeber correctly.

Correct but he didn't specify so I asked. E34's don't all have 1:1 so engine combo could have come from this source.
