Default 96 stalled on Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Help! My 96ti, 145K, manual trans., suddenly lost power while crossing the long bridge. Car has plenty of fuel. Fuses seem fine. I swapped relays but no change. I can't find a disconnected vaccuum hose. It cranks but will not fire. When I try to start it I do not hear the familiar hum of the fuel pump pressurizing the system. Could this be a fuel filter issue anyway? I had it flatbedded to a nearby BMW dealer.

Default Car stalled

Correct, the fuel pump died. A month ago the cam position sensor expired. Not a big repair but one starts to wonder what else might break after ten years and 145k miles.
Thanks for the response.
