Went back and forth on dragging it to Florida to part it out but decided I have enough to work on for now. Someone should pick this one up! I will make note of the VIN over in the CS VIN thread. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! I couldn't do it, myself. Sean left too soon. Nice find! __________________ | | | 10-15-2013, 09:50 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | I bid on this car today. It was at $550.00 last night. Then it was at $750.00 when I got to the shop where my connection for bidding is. I bid 1300.00 and was outbid. I wish it wasn't my max amount to spend today...but it was. i have been watching this car since the day it was listed. I had ElChicano all set to pick it up if I won the auction. Oh well. Gives me more time to purchase an M3 for my swap. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 10-15-2013, 11:23 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | I was ready to pick it up as well. | | | 10-16-2013, 04:33 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by elchicano I was ready to pick it up as well. | I really wanted to get that one. I wonder who got it? __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! It came from an auction in Virginia to Colorado. If it's not in the hands of an enthusiast...we may never see it again. When it was for sale 2 years ago, we did everything to see the car and talk to it's owner. When he found out we were 318ti owners...he stopped talking to us and removed all of the ads he had. It was weird. The damage to the car isn't all that bad. Hopefully the new owner will show up here for a follow up on this car. Only time will tell. __________________ Sean 1995 Active Last edited by teetime4one; 10-16-2013 at 11:50 AM. | | | 10-16-2013, 11:49 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 10-16-2013, 02:00 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: South Central, MN Posts: 1,065 | Ahhh.... so it was THAT car. __________________ | | | 10-17-2013, 11:47 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by Mr.Squeelerz Ahhh.... so it was THAT car. | Yep, remember THAT car do you? He said he was the second owner...but the CarFax report stated there were 7 previous owners and the car had been in several accidents (if my memory serves me correctly). He sold an M3 to our friend Clay. He said the dude was pretty legit. But, it turned out that he wasn't. There were too many loose ends in his story and description of the car. The car came from Virginia. I'm sure the original owner was a very nice person...I don't know tho. lol __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 10-17-2013, 08:50 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I know the original owner. Still do. I see him almost once a year. I knew him when he lived in VA and Nebraska. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 10-17-2013, 10:56 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Cool __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
