Exterior is white, with black roof, customer boser hood w/ black stripe, ASA JH8 rims polished lip with bronze painted spokes. M3 front bumper, stock sideskirts and rear bumper. Interior was gray, but I dyed the dash, console, and door panels black. Seats are still dove gray (cloth). The interior is not pretty... there are scratches in the dye, but the panels themselves are in good shape. Carpet is an OEM black carpet removed from a junkyard car, it has 2 cuts where the dash supports mount to the trans tunnel from whatever genius pulled it out; As long as the carpet sits flat when you install it, you'll never notice the cuts. Headliner is oem but has been recovered in a black microfiber-ish material. Shift and e-brake boots are oem, but have been dyed Ferrari "Saddle" in color... a nice deep tan. Engine has been maintained religiously since I've owned it (the past 70k miles). Mobil 1 oil changes every 5k. New NGK plugs, plug boots, V/C gasket, cam sensor, intake gaskets, injector seals. All installed at 155k. Engine and trans have ~162k Body has ~215k Engine with trans I'm looking for $3500. Shoot me offers on the rest. Pics on request. NOTE: I need to sell the engine and trans so I can buy a 4 door family car (baby due July 30th). Nothing else will be parted out until the drivetrain is sold! email - planetrc @ optonline . net phone 609 462 0363 Steve. P.S. Doors are black in color... they were replaced because the window tracks on the original doors broke off at the welds. I never got around to painting them. P.P.S. Car runs, but does not pass inspection because of the lack of an air pump, and the evap pressure sensor is not wired. You can buy the car outright for $5000. It is more than reliable; I drive it 300 miles a week to and from work. __________________ | | | 07-09-2009, 04:35 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Did someone delete my thread about this? Is the hood carbon fiber? What size rims/wheels. | | | 07-13-2009, 06:24 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Exton, PA Posts: 75 | Quote: Originally Posted by BrooklynDakar Are those stickers on the hood or painted. I custom made the boser hood. Took about 25 hours from prep to clear coat. __________________ | | | 07-13-2009, 11:23 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO | | | 07-13-2009, 11:24 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | PS. If it makes you feel any better, I'm having second thoughts about selling the car. Everyone is trying to talk me out of it, and I may be getting a cheap and/or free Nissan Xterra. If I do, I'll probably keep it. The baby is due in 3 weeks, and money is tight, so we'll see what needs to change. I really would love to keep it. Anyway, we should meet up again sometime soon... hit me up, number is the same. __________________ | | | 07-14-2009, 05:19 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Sounds awesome man... I really hope you keep it. It has more parts from my old car than anyone else's. It's like the reincarnation. If you keep it, you gotta start Autocrossing with my dad and I. You might be getting a cheap AND a free Xterra? That would be awesome. I didn't even realize you two were going to have a kid now... but that's great man! Congrats! Can't wait to see your new kid-- make sure he learns how to work on BMW's too. Speaking of which, if you need some cash-- I have a little body work I need done (I think you might have seen it- a little rust around the fenders, and I need to get my fenders rolled too). If you can do the non-paint stuff and just prime it I can get it painted elsewhere. Anyway, I'll give you a call soon. I was trying to get my dad to buy your car. He (maybe seriously?) suggested he trade his 1995 MB E320 for your car... lol. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
