I need help finding a DME

Ok so I have a 95 318ti I got it running and it drives and I've replaced enough parts as it has new fuel pump, plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter I've checked everything I could until I took it to a dealer and they said it would cost me 1700 for a new dme...I'm trying to find a used one...I have a 95 hellrot 1.8 m42 5 speed getrag, non sport, ..help please

You need DME #0 261 203 282 and there is lot's on ebay for cheap. Depending on the software version you will need a EWS delete chip which I sell. Cheers

How much is the chip? If I order both will I need any programming done? Will it start without the chip? How do I order the chip when ready?

Hi~

I have a DME out of my '95 318ti I could sell you. The car was built 7/1995, so it does have EWS. Changing the chip is pretty easy and there are performance chips that are EWS delete as was offered here.

The part number is: 12141743258, which if you look up on www.realoem.com you will find it is the same as yours. The cheapest I could find on eBay is $70 shipped, so I will take $60 shipped. 318's are pretty common in the small wrecking yards around here,, I dont hink it HAS to be from a TI just needs the same trans combo as your car.. And the EWS delete chip..

I don't think it matters what transmission you have. As soon as you change the chip it is whatever you want it to be.

You have a standard 5 speed so you only require and engine DME. If the chassis came equip with EWS and most 1995s did then you will require and EWS delete chip that I sell for the 282 DME. Cheers
