Default oklahoma state trooper

I saw this on another forum

In most of the United States , there is a policy of checking on any stalled vehicle on the highway when the temperatures drop to single digits or below. About 3 AM, one very cold morning, Trooper Allan Nixon #658 responded to a call there was a car off the shoulder of the road outside Shattuck. He located the car, stuck in deep snow, and with the engine still running. Pulling in behind the car with his emergency lights on, the Trooper walked to the driver's door to find an older man passed out behind the wheel with a nearly empty vodka bottle on he seat beside him.

The driver came awake when the Trooper tapped on the window. Seeing the rotating lights in his rearview mirror, and the State Trooper standing next to his car, the man panicked. He jerked the gearshift into 'drive' and hit the gas. The car's speedometer was showing 20-30-40 and then 50 mph, but it was still stuck in the snow, wheels spinning.
Trooper Nixon, having a sense of humor, began running in place next to the speeding (but stationary) car.
The driver was totally freaked, thinking the Trooper was actually keeping up with him. This goes on for about 30 seconds, then the Trooper yelled, "Pull over!"
The man nodded, turned his wheel, and stopped the engine.
Needless to say, the man from Dumas, Texas was arrested, and is probably still shaking his head over the State Trooper in Oklahoma who could run 50 miles per hour."

Who says Trooper's don't have a sense of humor?

Buwahahahaha, troopers usually aren't the pricks people make them out to be. They tend to have more of a sense of humor than county and local police do. The latter of the 2 are stuck with small zones and not much to do.....where as troopers seem to always have something to do....keeps them from remembering the people they deal with everyday.

I agree- up here we have a city, county and state pd's all in one town. These guys get really bored.
For some long, but funny reading- check out strane v. MSP...or any of them really..

lol hello super troopers anyone?

Actually the state troopers here suck......they have a zero tolerance and will ticket you for anything and anyone, the local cops have more of a sense of humor depending on who you get, and most are forgiving. I actually heard that the troopers in florida are going to be based off commission and thats why they have been ticketing but who knows, I know the local cops are salary based and prefer not to write tickets, its just more paper work to deal with.

yeah i got busted for parking one time but the cop was really cool about it.
i took my girlfriend out to bern's for dessert one night, and it was a really nice night and everything, but we were in public the whole time... so i couldn't kiss her.... so we parked at the YMCA youth and family center, and we were mostly just sitting there talking... and all of a sudden i see lights and it's a cop... so he comes up to the window and he says "what's up guys?" and we were like "just hanging out...." after a long awkward pause... but we were thinking we were gonna get in big trouble but he was nice, i quote "i'm not gonna call your parents because you weren't on top of her pounding away"
