Smile New 2002 e46 318ti from Aus!

I have never used a forum before, and so I don't exactly know if i'm doing this right, but oh well. Hello everyone from Australia! I picked up my 318ti for ~$4800AU with numerous oil leaks, and ended up costing $1600 for repairs. So it was about $6400 all up, and hopefully shouldn't have to worry about that for a long time! This is my first BMW and it is a fantastic car to drive

Welcome to the forum. Beautiful car. You know we hate you in Australia for getting e-46 ti's when we didn't get them here in the U.S. A weak link in all BMW's is the cooling system. For my peace of mind I bought a nifty digital heat guage from Australian Signals right there in your backyard. Cheers, John

Haha, yeah I know all about the rivalry, but thanks anyway! And thanks for the heads up, I haven't heard much about common problems so I will certainly look into the heat gauge.
