Default M50 swap Tranny Question

okay ibe search and search, well i did my engine swap with m50 engine and matching tranny out of a 1994 325is, i dont have enough room to change into gears, like gears 2 and 4 are fine put 1 3 and 5 i have to slam it, there isnt enough room to shift it hits the plastic wall around the shift boot? what should i do i do want to money shift on accident.

You need to bend the selector rod or get a shorter one. The M50 swap sits about 1-2" further back and that changes the position of the shift lever. Mine has about a 20 degree bend.

Came in here to post this. Bend it with a workshop clampvice. Bend it back some and it should sit right in the middle
