I have the left side, but the right was destroyed in the accident which lead to my getting the M3 as a parts car. | | | 03-23-2006, 08:45 AM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | I am quite sure the side mouldings of the ti are different from the M3 ones. They are not too expensive, so you may be better off getting them at the dealer... | | | 03-23-2006, 09:22 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | I paid $125 for mine from the dealer. yes, you will be better off getting the from the dealer. | | | 03-23-2006, 04:00 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Northern IL Posts: 263 | [QUOTE=J!m]I am quite sure the side mouldings of the ti are different from the M3 ones. Yes I want the thick black strip that says //M on it. I have thick strips on the rear, and front ends but the middle on both sides is thin. Really hard to find on the net. I have found one at $60, but forget where. I am going back to the dealer in a couple of days to buy one. Bavauto have the moulding for 180. Have seen it online for 110 but I think it was the M3 version. The door strips are longer to match the longer door, longest door of the E36s, supposed to be. 3 inches longer is going around in my head, don't know if it's right though. __________________ I'm back with a different 95 ti | | | 06-07-2006, 01:14 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | So has anyone actually removed the thin moldings and put the thick moldings on? __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 06-07-2006, 01:28 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I did............ I read some place else on the interweb (can't remember exactly where) - that the Front wing & door mouldings are the same ones for the Saloon & touring (not coupe & conv.) - the ony unique bits are the rear 3/4 short stubby mouldings. __________________ 1997 Moreagrun | | | 01-05-2007, 07:21 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Lynchburg, VA Posts: 200 | Quote: Originally Posted by monk3y666 Me too - They use different clips Then some a$$ hole stole them off my car & i had to buy a complete new set FYI - a complete set were sold on ebay for £67 on monday night (about $120 ???) How does one remove the old molding? Just pull it off? Any tips for the install? | | | 01-05-2007, 08:08 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Slip something under the molding and pull it off, very easy.
