Default NEW Clutch?

Has anyone installed their own cluch? I need to do the flex disc and carrier bearing at the same time. If you paid someone to do the work how much did it cost?

Clutch jobs includes:
1 Cover(Clutch)
1 Disk
1 Pilot Bearing
1 Throwout Bearing

Remove and resurface (If possible) flywheel, suposedly the dual mass ones cannot be resurfaced.

Average is 4 to 6 hours labor + parts.

Reccomend lots of searching on this forum and the other BMW E36 forums. There are several options as to which setup makes themost sense..

if it's your first clutch job, plan for the whole weekend or a very long day to do the job. I've done 6 or 7 now and can do them in 6 hours by myself, but the first one took me most of 2 days.

I bought the clutch kit from Bav auto that includes all the parts needed and some seals for the tranny too. I'm hoping that the new clutch and center bearing/flexdisc will solve my clutch judder problem that I get when its real hot out. The stop and go traffic on I-5 is killing my car.

just did my clutch job about 2 weeks ago. i used the pelican parts tech article and it helped alot the only difference is i didnt remove the drive shaft and exhaust pipe other then that i followed the artcle to a t. in my op it was very easy, just took a little long because it was my first time. by the way to get to the top torque bolts just use a long extension and slide it on top of the tranny its alot easier to get at that way. also you'll need a second person to guide the socket in place and hold it there while you turn the ratchet. as for the guibo when you move the driveshaft see if the guibo is ok and if it is like mine was leave it alone. hope that helps alittle
