Wow.. That is a pretty impressive 0-60 time... How accurate how those g-techs? I drove a new M3 on Friday and I would have a real hard time making a comparison between an M3 and a 135i... The 135 is a more bare bones, lets go drive car, even though it still weighs in way over 3k pounds... The M3 is a balls out luxury sport/super car. The M3 is an amazing car.. I thought the weight of the car would ruin the experience, but it doesn't. The i-drive implementation is top notch, and the different responses you can get from the car by changing the M settings is also amazing... It was a lot of fun putting the car into m-dynamic mode on the DSC settings and launching hard and have the DSC step in just enough to control wheel spin, but not enough to keep it from chirping the tires in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. Price no object I'd take the M3 over a dinan 135/335 any day... The M3 would perform better and be more reliable under hard driving... Still way to many issues with the x35 cars. Dinan, active autowerks, and RRT all had issues with the turbo I6 cars at one lap. Even with the dinan oil coolers and upgraded AA intercoolers. When those cars were running, they were winning. But they placed between 15th and 20th place over all because of limp modes. Of course, the dinan 135 is more in my price range than the 75k M3 that I drove.. |
