I went to take the panels off and theres a cross over in the door i believe, but the connection on the speaker is a 3 prong connector its a male plug, and there are just 2 tabs coming off of this cross over looking thing. Does anyone have an idea where to get this or how i can wire them up without the connectors? Any help here would be appreciated i just want to get my door speakers working. | | | 01-16-2011, 07:36 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | So each door has two speakers on your model right? That's how mine is and if nothing is broken with the speaker wires then it should just snap in. So are the tips on the wires broken then? __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | 01-16-2011, 07:40 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Do you have any pictures? I have two speakers as-well, two connectors one for tweeter and one for midrange. | | | 01-16-2011, 10:09 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: new york Posts: 511 | Single speaker in each door. The Problem was that there were 3 prong connectors on the speakers that the previous owner didnt reinstall, so basically i had to figure out which 2 were for the speaker, and i did i broke the connector pieces off the speakers and fabricated new ones to connect the speakers back too the crossover and bam! done now it sounds MUCH better. Thanks | | | 01-16-2011, 10:42 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 318ti NY Single speaker in each door. Pretty much all mine were blown. Light weight shallow speakers is the way to go. I'll post pics tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
