Umnitza Stainless mesh vs. OEM black mesh bumper insert so what do you think? My car would look exactly like the white e6 on this page. Click for a better close up view. Is it even close to being worth the price? http://www.umnitza.com/index.php?cPa...25cd40fbe572c7 __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 07-16-2008, 07:25 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | So this is for just the grill, no bumper. Hmm, does seem a little pricey. I coulnd't find any close up shots of the quality though. | | | 07-16-2008, 07:29 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | seems pricey and i feel you could make something the same for a LOT less! i have a mesh grill and slats in front of it __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 07-16-2008, 07:48 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I think it'd look good on a white car, as long as the lights are clear and the kidneys are chrome. As far as price goes, the stock piece retails at $65. Can't really fathom spending more than double that for a part with only aesthetic value. If you've wrecked a few radiators from stones, sure. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 07-16-2008, 08:53 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | you could buy a whole new bumper from DDM with the "stock" looking mesh for less that that.... lol __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 07-17-2008, 02:50 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | go to advance, autozone, yipes or whatever else you have, buy the mesh grill from them for $30-40 and cut it yourself, if you do it right, it would prolly look just like that for a whole lot cheaper | | | 07-17-2008, 06:01 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | they sell the mess grills for the bumper on ebay. thats where i got mine for like $30! just look around there. or if you dont have the m-tech bumper just buy that. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! They do say taht each one is custom made so yeah, chances are they're just cutting some mesh in the back room. I wonder where they get the frame? __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 07-17-2008, 06:07 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | well the ebay ones are good. i got mine off ebay. and the fitment was perfect. there were no issues on putting it on. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit!
