Car won't start, already tried some stuff:

My 1995 318ti was running fine and then one morning and it wouldn't start. It cranks over but won't fire up at all. I replaced the fuel pump and filter. I'm getting 12V at the fuel pump and I'm getting spark at my spark plugs. What could be wrong???

Get a new battery or jump start to make sure your battery is good. Start there and move on to next step.

Thanks but the battery is new and cranks over quickly like it should. What should I check next?

Engines only need spark and fuel to run. Check for fuel pressure. If you don't have access to fancy fuel pressure guage's, pull the injector rail with the injectors on it and point it in a bag or towards a rag (I DON'T SUGGEST THIS IN ANY WAY ITS VERY UNSAFE, it's an only if it's your last resort option to check) and then crank, see if it sprays fuel from the injectors, at least you'll know its getting fuel to the rail. If not that's your problem. If it is getting fuel then you need to check the fuel pressure.

I had this happen when I was messing with the fuel injectors. I'm not sure if this is related, but I just replaced the fuse the blew out. I started the car it struggled a bit, but I just kept reving till fuel passed through the fuel injectors. My car started fine after.

I don't remember exactly which fuse it was. I'd check them all visually, then with a multimeter. It might be a coincidence that one of my fuses were blown when the circuit to my fuel injectors were finicky. If you get the same engine code as me then we're on to something. I had also manually unplugged and replugged the wires attached to the fuel injectors and made sure they made a good connection to the injector. Make sure you plug those wires completely in all the way. If you have good dexterity and small hands you can unplug the wires without removing anything else. I used a screwdriver to help unclip the plugs. Once you start the car it may struggle for a bit, but keep reving I think the fuel needs to pass through the fuel injectors.

It was the oddest resolution. I gave up and the car sat for a year. My wife whined about the car so I towed it to a shop. They put the battery on a charger for a day and it started right up, so it was either the fuel pump or the battery. Then I sold the car.
