I'm currently trying to replace my O2 sensor. I've got a new one (95 OBD1). I've got the car on stands. The electrical plug comes off fine, but the sensor itself isn't budging. I tried letting it sit with some PB Blaster. Still nothing. I can get to it at exactly 1 angle with a 22mm wrench (since it's up there on top of the exhaust) but it's on there TIGHT. So before I did anything stupid like jury rig more torque into the situation, I wanted to make sure ... which way to turn it. Do I go lefty-loosey assuming I'm looking at the sensor from the top through the floor of the car? | | | 02-24-2014, 06:39 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Normal direction. I snap the ceramic bit off and use a socket and breaker.. or a pipe wrench.. __________________ Dave - PDX 1995 318ti - Active Black and Tan. 2005 330xi - Mtech 1 - 6spd - Orient Blue/Black | | | 02-24-2014, 08:02 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Michigan Posts: 183 | Took a pipe wrench and my foot last time I did one. They get really stuck in there. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
