OEM Or Used?

I ordered a few parts that I need for a project from hhttp://www.bmwdiscountparts.com but what are your opinions on used parts? I noticed there is a for sale section here and maybe I can save some money vs buying new. Any thoughts on this?

Some parts you want new, like parts that are one time use, like gaskets, boots, plugs.

Other parts like plug wires, regulator motors, starters, a used model may do the job just fine
