Ceramic pads? Red Stuff, Bosch, Akebono.... Hi again. Before I order everything for my suspension and brake renewal, I would like to get the board's opinions on the topic of ceramic brake pads in general, and brand names in particular. I have used PBR Metal Masters before, and found them to be fine, except that they don't work when wet and after 9 days of rain in October, the whole brake system rusted badly enough that they have not recovered. Long wear life, though, and not hard on rotors at all. So, I could go with them again, but wonder about ceramics in the rain and how they wear the rotors. Thoughts? If ceramic is the way to go, I am going with either EBC Red Stuff, Bosch ceramic, Hawk, or Akebono ceramics of one type or another. Any favorites or dissenting opinions out there would be much appreciated. Sorry if this has been done before, but I don't see anything specifically about ceramics as a group. Thanks as usual to all!
