Effin Mini Cooper S. but i guess that is all so i am shopping around a little bit but i cant decide on anything until the insurance sends me my check. the good thing in all of this is that i have a 3 inch binder with every receipt for all of the aftermarket parts that have ever been put on that car including my $3000 supercharger. so i can actually claim that on insurance and hopefully get some money out of it. In closing, watch out for people that arent paying attention to what color the lights are. | | | 03-25-2006, 12:26 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Watford, herts, England Posts: 805 | sorry to hear about the car. i hate the fact that you have to spend more time paying attention to those around you than actually driving your own car these days. good job with the reciepts! keep your chin up and start looking for another car. __________________ '96 318ti in Montreal Blue :m-tec sideskirts,m-bootspoiler,clear corners & repeaters .m-tech side mouldings, Magnex Exhaust System, leather armrest, F-15 gear Knob, 18" Evo 2's. Sorry about the car, and glad to hear everyone is all right? If the insurance won't pay you for the aftermarket parts, make sure you tell them you want to remove them from the car. If they do pay, don't expect them to pay the whole value because of depreciation. Quote: In closing, watch out for people that arent paying attention to what color the lights are. | I tend to look left/right when starting from a stop shortly after my light turns green (when most people to impatient to stop run the lights), and if I am coming to a blind intersection where I can't see left or right, even if I have a green light I slow down. Another case to slow down slightly is if their is a big vehicle turning left beside you and you are continuing straight through the intersection because a car turning left from the other direction might not see you and turn out in front of you. | | | 03-25-2006, 02:30 PM | #4 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | that sux! glad you're ok and good luck in ending up with something you like. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 03-25-2006, 05:35 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | can u remove some off the aftermarket part and put stock parts | | | 03-25-2006, 10:17 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | i hear you dave-uk! driving alot in my job shows me that. i drive for myself aswell as the other fcuker s that just can 't drive! __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 03-26-2006, 01:19 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Northern Ireland Posts: 67 | Bad news but the important thing is you're ok. Have a mate who recently totalled his car and he's well stuck into modifying his new one with some of the mods from the first one. __________________ | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
