I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts - Their computer cross references the Gates K060863 with a Dayco 5060865 which does not work. I learned the hard way. The last three numbers in the Dayco numbering scheme indicate the overall length. 875 indicates 87.5 inches which is consistent with what others have posted on this site regarding the proper length of the belt. The 87.5" belt is a very tight fit and requires a solid inch of travel of the tensioner There is no way the 86.5" belt would have fit. When I was filing away my notes/receipt I found a Gates belt sleeve that the PO had left in the file. It says right on it 2205mm. My math says that is 86.8 inches. Anyway, it took every ounce of strength I had to move the tensioner to make the 87.5" belt go on my car. I suppose every one is a little different. Does the M42 (from an E36) fit the same as an M44? If not, what are the different belt part numbers? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
