I've nver looked closely on mine but i could've sworn i saw 4 screw holes and you take that out and the plastic cover comes off. I just noticed ur in England so yours might be set up different if you have a euro one. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 08-22-2005, 11:00 PM | #4 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I just took a look at mine and on the passanger side there is a plastic screw(flathead) i'm assuming if you remove that, the plastic cover should come loose if you wiggle it. On the drivers it looks like you have to take out the screw thats in you hood release handle. But the dead brake is attached to that whole assembly so i'm not quite sure how to take it out. I'm just guessing by looking at it. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 08-22-2005, 11:19 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | fortunately, my haynes manual describes RHD cars (yeah, totally annoying for me). you'll need to remove the lower dash panel, which has two screws and just unclips after that. then remove the handle for the hood release-this will not detach the cable itself so no worries on that. underneath is a panel fastener you'll need to remove. the panel then unclips, so pull towards the rear of the car, and a little to the center. after that, the 5 1/4 has four screws holding it in. as far as wiring the sub, kind of depends on your head unit. | | | 08-22-2005, 11:20 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | there's 2 screws and a plastic retainer screw too iif i'm right...... __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 08-23-2005, 11:33 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Newcastle, England Posts: 71 | Quality advice - thanks a lot. yeah i not getting the stuff untill this weekend so ill take a close look tonight and see if i can work it out.
