Just dropped the little sausage off at the body shop for some sprucing up - afterwards it is off to the frontend shop for new front control arms and thrust bushings and alignment before going south to La Quinta. Took the opportunity to feel around the secondary air pump for air leaks - didn't find any, so I suspect the pump is just loud (thanks for pointing me at that unit). May need to visit a junkyard and see if I can find another. Also hunting a window/seat heater switch plastic surround/retainer - no Ti's in the yard up here and a regular 318 window escutcheon is the wrong size/shape.

Yeah, we don't have any drivers in our family yet. They get the go-karts.

She'll get over it since I just parted out my other 2 328is's.

Today was my first day off since Sept. 29th. I spent the first half of the day getting an issue diagnosed and then finding a place that could do the repair. Turns out my sway bar mounts need to be replaced.

I ordered the parts from Tischer... hope to have the car in the shop next Friday.

Great way to start a day. LOL

Replaced a missing body plug under the drivers seat (I suspect this is the cause of the soaked carpet). Also replaced my front wiper arms. FYI, when I ordered the new ones I was told I got the last driver's side arm (61-61-8-360-023; there is a 61-61-8-361-391 for cars up to 3/1996) in the country, and the passenger side has a new number (61-61-8-353-048). The number under the new sticker, and the one I gave my shop (61-61-8-392-002), had none available and is different than the number on my old wiper arm (61-61-8-392-006), which comes up as an invalid part # on RealOEM.

Got my daytime driving lights up and running again. Problem turned out to be a loose connection, not the special relay gone bad, which is a good thing because a new one goes for about $125 these days. Cheers, John

There is a Share link on Flickr. Click on it and select BBS code. It will give you a code line that you copy and paste here;

I took the liberty of grabbing the photo and did this;

Use the "IMG" tags instead of "URL." You found the URL button, the IMG button is 3 to the right of the URL button.
