Default 1996 318ti - Daily Driver/FSP Autocrosser

Update: No longer a feeler. Car is officially for sale.

So I'm putting a feeler out for my car. I'm considering moving on, but I wanted to check with the community first to see if there is A) any interest in the car as it sits now and B) to see if my price is reasonable.

If you have questions/comments, feel free to post. Thanks!

$4000 for everything. $3200 without the K1's and V710's.

So here's the info:

1996 318ti M-Tech
183,XXX miles
I have extensive service records going back through both me and the previous owner.

Drivetrain/Cooling:
* Head gasket replaced (and cooling system updated) at 130K
* New clutch at 140K
* Limited slip from a Club Sport with new diff bushing @ 170K (original open diff included)
* UUC Short Shifter with Z4 weighted knob
* M3 motor mounts
* UUC transmission mounts
* New radiator and intake boot within last 10K miles
* Custom CAI with heat shield
* MSD plug wires
* Battery replaced in '08

Exhaust:
* Custom 2 1/4" mandrel bent 409 stainless from header back, with high flow cat, Magnaflow resonator, and Flowmaster muffler. Flows like crazy, but is a little loud. Uses factory hangers.
* O2 simulator (CEL still on)

Suspension/Brakes:
* M3 front struts with Koni Yellow inserts with about 10K on them
* Vorshlag camber plates
* Sparco front strut bar
* Adjustable coilover sleeves on front struts with 450lb springs
* Koni Yellow rear shocks
* Rear shock reinforcement plates
* TCKline 700lb rear springs and height adjusters
* Eibach 28mm front bar with M3 endlinks, no rear bar (but still have stock rear bar)
* Hawk HP+ pads and new rotors, ATE SuperBlue less than 10K ago
* Passenger side of parking brake is disconnected. The "expanding lock" ($22.23 according to realoem.com) is broken. I have all other parts.

Wheels:
Racing: 17" Kosei K1's with 245/40 Kuhmo V710s (80% tread)
Daily: 15" steelies with Fuzion HRi's (90% tread)
Other: Stock 16" sport wheels with bald tires

Interior:
* Schroth 4pt harness
* Headliner replaced
* JVC CD-deck with iPod/iPhone and AUX hookups
* Wear on steering wheel, shifter and driver's seat (two small holes along seems). rest of interior is in excellent shape.
* Door lock actuator doesn't operate driver's door, but it does work with the key.

Exterior:
* Smoked corners with lamin-x film (stock corners come with as well)
* "all red" rear tails (lamin-x)
* Front plate holder and non-front plate molding
* New windshield
* Dark gray LTW flag
* Debadged
* Normal bumps and bruises from being 180K miles old, but not terrible
* Fenders have been REALLY rolled to make room for the tires
* Drivers front inner fender is mostly gone
* Majority of undertray pieces were missing when I got the car. Have some new replacement pieces waiting to go on
* Foglights removed and covers put in place

Other Info:
* Car has regularly been maintained with all synthetic fluids. It's a solid daily driver that pisses off a lot of people at autcrosses. It's a ton of fun, but I'm just looking for something new.
* I will inclue all the spares I have, which include underbody pieces, stock diff, clips, etc.

Updated some things I forgot about. I'll put exact mileage on things tonight. I'm looking for feedback on the potential sale, so feel free to post here or PM me.

I may not. I love the car, but I'm also getting old (lol) and wouldn't mind something a little more comfortable. Looking at a new DS ride.

Yea. Same reasons for me. I adore my ti but it's got 252K on it and I'm getting tired of shifting while going back and forth to Tysons!! Trying to find a way to keep it as a dedicated auto-x car.

I know Gimp and he knows his car better than anyone. I'm confident everything is kept to an excellent standard. Sad to see it go, GLWS!

Well, it's a 14 year old car, so everything is excellent where it can be, and honestly disclosed if it isn't. Thanks for the kind words.

Drop a M3 motor in there and then it will be like a new car.

If the M44 comes out, only a LSx will go in.
