Default FOR SALE: '96 318ti Black (ignition cylinder stuck)

Make me an offer based on all this: approx 160k miles Pics: http://db.tt/F1FZX8v , http://db.tt/5I3plSe , http://db.tt/nPI4fRe

Ok, sadly I have to sell my ti. Even sadder, it's caused me nothing but problems. That's good news for you! There's not much to break that I haven't replaced already! I had big plans for this one, but unfortunately mechanical failures caused me never to get to that.

Here's the state of the car: currently the ignition cylinder is stuck so you can't turn it on or off (the battery is disconnected right now). Like really stuck. not even the special tool will get it out. The housing will need to be cut through and then replaced as well. I already have a new ignition cylinder from Germany cut to my key.

More state of the car:
- passenger side window lift is broken. window itself is in tact.
- the sun roof works, but you can't open it all the way otherwise it'll get stuck
- fog lights don't work. one is missing. casualty of driving in LA.
- front wheel well lining is gone
- front bumper is loose
- very slow oil leak

Maintenance:
- practically new Tires (maybe 7k miles on them)
- practically new Brakes (also approx 7k miles on them)
- all scheduled oil changes

Repairs:
- Radiator return line - replaced in '08
- Power steering line - replaced in '08
- Fuel pump replaced - 2 years old - New clutch - 1 year old

- Cylinder re-coat + Full Tune up - a piston head broke off into the chamber. I have no idea why bc I just replaced them the year before. So we re-coated that cylinder and gave it a full tune up. new plugs, wires, etc.

- New starter, new wiring, new battery - 6 months old
- New gaskets to fix oil leak - 6 months old
- New brake light switch

Other notes:
- it has an after market alarm
- the driver side door paneling is loose (easy fix)
- the driver seat has a gangster lean (broken support on one side)
- it's lowered

I want you to be aware of its history and its current state.

Send me a price you think is fair. I might just start parting it out if no one wants it as a whole. So send me your part requests too.

In case you didn't notice from the pics, I forgot to mention that it also has M3 motorsport rims on it.

I was hoping to make it out of this disaster with $2500, but I might go as low as $2k. Since I'm in Cali I'd sell it as inoperative (appropriate since it is) without getting it smogged. It needs to be smogged this year for registration. I'm being honest here, I don't know if it will pass. It made it through last time, but it was close.

UPDATE:

I'm fixing the ignition cylinder. I have to replace the housing too since it's that stuck. So it will be in running condition shortly. Then it'll be up for sale. So make me an offer.

Sad to hear. I'm fixing up my Ti, almost a year now. It's taking me a long time cause when I go in to fix one thing I find something else that might as well get replaced since I'm already in there. To be honest you could probably make out like a bandit if you were to part it out. That's just my opinion. Good luck either way.

UPDATE:

The car is running again. That it, $965 later. Ghhhhh. Turned out it was the EWS system. Wasn't aligned properly and they had to reset it. But she's good to go now, and is FOR SALE. Gettin smog check and registration taken care of this week.

Asking $3300.
