Default 1998 318TIA/5 engine swap to 1998-1999 323is/ic e36 M52B25

Hi, trying to figure out if 1998 318TIA/5 engine swap to 1998-1999 323is/ic M52B25 ... is possible? the 1998 318TI has 112k, runs well, recent tune up. Automatic though I found at least 2x 1998-1999 M52B25 from 1998-1999 323is/ic. They said is complete unit. Questions (I am not planning to do any more than just boast displacement, no racing, extra stuff, etc): 1- the stock 1998 318TI-A automatic transmission, will this work with 1998/9 e36 M52B25 323is/ic engine or do I need the automatic transmission also (I don't want to drive manual) 2- the stock 318ti exhaust, this won't fit right? 3- what else do I need? -Li-wei

Huh? If you're asking if you can swap the 6cyl into the ti, then yes. I guess you could put the 4cyl into the other car also..
