Thank you for sharing. I have noticed that not many people come back and tell what fixed their problem. My car acts like the plugs are out of order when set right. But will start after numerous cranks with the plugs out of order. 1 and 2 flood. And you would think someone is choking the car in the few seconds it will run until it quickly stalls out. I am going to start my own thread. Thank you for your info! Let me know if I described similar enough to your issue. Thanks again!

Smile Resolution to hard starting when warm

My 98 318ti, M44, automatic, had been giving me starting problems when warm. Naturally I researched this issue on the forums and the web. I found other postings with the same symptoms as mine and based on their resolutions, I began replacing a lot of parts and performing various maintenance items. The problem would get a little better and then revert to its original state. All of the parts I replaced were as follows: plugs, ignition wires, engine coolant temp sensor, cam position sensor, vacuum lines, throttle position sensor, clean MAF sensor, CCV, and fuel filter. Done of this new parts solved my problem. FINALLY, the starter was tested and my problem was SOLVED!!! So if you are having a hard start when warm CHECK the STARTER!!! Good Luck and Peace Be with YOU.
