Just wondering what the best spark plugs to use are. I have a 1995 318ti -- looking to change the spark plugs out in the next couple of days. Bosch?? NGK?? You can also search these forums for info on which plugs are upgrades. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 11-30-2008, 08:08 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | NGK come stock. Some people have reported troubles with Bosch, but they worked fine for me in the past. Frankly, I'm more willing to trust the engineers in Munich. Next set is NGK. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 12-08-2008, 07:00 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: Sacramento Posts: 245 | NGK recommends #BKR6EK as the standard replacement. They have several different types, is there any better than this? | | | 12-08-2008, 03:22 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | dealer supplied 4 prong NGK platinums ALWAYS... good luck. __________________ SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD!SOLD! They actually helped calm my idle down. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 12-08-2008, 06:14 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | I set my father's 95 club sport up set of NGK BKR6EQUP (4 prong platinum) plugs, along with a set of the BMW performance plug wires and the thing is really very smooth. The BKR6EQUP plugs are OEM plugs that BMW uses in many models including the E39 M5. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! They are $6-7 each from NGK as opposed to $20 each from BMW. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 12-09-2008, 06:52 AM | #13 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Chicago, IL USA Posts: 58 | I have rough idle and NGK's (4-prong). i didnt have this problem before they were installed. so any ideas? anything would be much appreciated. | | | 12-09-2008, 07:00 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Quote: Originally Posted by Triple_A I have rough idle and NGK's (4-prong). i didnt have this problem before they were installed. so any ideas? anything would be much appreciated. | What is the NGK part number of the plugs you installed?
