Default why do some members get upset every time someone mentions nitro

why do some members get upset every time someone mentions nitro? Every time there is a thread about nitro, a bunch of members get offended or mad, where does the hate come from? Whenever you see the word nitro here, we are referring to nitrous oxide, nitro for cars because this is a car forum not a chemistry lab. Is it hated because of pollution reasons, or because it is cheap? Im not trying to pick on anyone, I just like to know if someone knows or have any comments.

Nitro = nitro-methane fuel.
Nitrous = nitrous oxide.

Generally, nitrous is extremely stressful on motors, because of its quick and temporary boost. It's also really only good for drag racing which doesn't really make the best of the ti's abilities. That's why it's somewhat frowned upon here.

By all means, do what you want with your car. It's your money after all. But I think most of us would agree that it's not a good decision.

A properly tuned Nitrous system will cost as much as a FI setup, and you still have to refill the bottle every week.

Most people here like racing with turns. Nitrous isnt really helpful with those kind of races. If this were a camero forum this would be a completely different disscution, Im all for nitrous in those cars.

Why does everyone misspell Camaro? This isn't a peg to you, my buddies do it all the time.
