Do you have it set to automatically detect the settings? I know when I bought my xbox to school I had to manually set everything for the network here and when I took it back home it didn't work until I set it to automatic. __________________ ~Dave~

weird, i plugged mine in and then it said would you like to use this wireless adapter and i said yes, entered the wireless code for my router and BOOM xbox live beetches! __________________

googled and found this... It will have nothing to do with the firewall as the routers firewall would only prevent it from connecting to the net, not the router itself. Ok lets do it manually. -First find your routers IP address, It should be 192.168.1.254 -Lets make your Xbox's IP address 192.168.1.12, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.254, Dns servers 4.4.4.1 and 4.4.4.2 If you have wireless security (WEP or WPA) then you will also need to type the security key in. See if that works....... Now you might have problems connecting to live at the same time your brother does, as Live only allows 1 connection from a IP address at the same time, and since you and your brother are using the same router to connect to the net it will look like your two xbox's are the same to live.... and this http://xbox360help.blogspot.com/2007...live-test.html __________________

Anybody have any similar advice for the wireless on a PS3? I can't get my PS3 wireless to work to save my life and I've tried everything I can think of. Me either. I'm much more of an Xbox fan but got a smoking deal on a PS3 that I couldn't pass up. It's not a bad system but I just can't figure their wireless out.
