I know when I bought my xbox to school I had to manually set everything for the network here and when I took it back home it didn't work until I set it to automatic. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 04-02-2009, 07:39 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | yeah it is | | | 04-02-2009, 09:25 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | weird, i plugged mine in and then it said would you like to use this wireless adapter and i said yes, entered the wireless code for my router and BOOM xbox live beetches! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-02-2009, 09:26 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | googled and found this... It will have nothing to do with the firewall as the routers firewall would only prevent it from connecting to the net, not the router itself. Ok lets do it manually. -First find your routers IP address, It should be 192.168.1.254 -Lets make your Xbox's IP address 192.168.1.12, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.254, Dns servers 4.4.4.1 and 4.4.4.2 If you have wireless security (WEP or WPA) then you will also need to type the security key in. See if that works....... Now you might have problems connecting to live at the same time your brother does, as Live only allows 1 connection from a IP address at the same time, and since you and your brother are using the same router to connect to the net it will look like your two xbox's are the same to live.... and this http://xbox360help.blogspot.com/2007...live-test.html __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-02-2009, 09:32 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: Houston TX Posts: 309 | Anyone still plays saints row on x box live? <----Gamertag: murksta713 add me as a friend | | | 04-02-2009, 09:40 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | nope just halo 3 for me, and rarely forza 2, and a tiny bit of halo wars when im bored __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-02-2009, 09:51 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Anybody have any similar advice for the wireless on a PS3? I can't get my PS3 wireless to work to save my life and I've tried everything I can think of. As it is now I have my 360 & PS3 close together and just swap the ethernet cable. | | | 04-03-2009, 04:46 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | i have no idea how ps3's even work __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-03-2009, 04:52 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Me either. I'm much more of an Xbox fan but got a smoking deal on a PS3 that I couldn't pass up. It's not a bad system but I just can't figure their wireless out. It's a bit more cumbersome than the 360. | | | 04-03-2009, 11:03 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I had to go to my college class so I just let my mom have at it, lol, she figured it out | | | 04-04-2009, 12:31 AM | #12 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | That's the way to do it there. | | | 04-04-2009, 01:26 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | Freak, let me know when you get on live... let me know you gamer tag to add you as a friend and send you a few e36's with cool paint... __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 04-04-2009, 02:21 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | it's tifreak666 lol, got in my first race on Forza today, lol, turns out that they were drag racing down the straight on the Nurbergring, I wasn't listening to the conversation so I wasn't aware of that, I came flying around that first turn going 130 or so and slammed right into the big group of cars turning around Yoda, I got your gamertag from the other thread, I tried to add you but every time I did it said you were already on my friends list so yeah, I guess I can't add you | | | 04-04-2009, 03:03 AM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: providence ri Posts: 15 | anyone play forza 2? add me, my gamertag is zmbehntr | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
