If not, I am also leaning towards a big vacuum leak if it just acted up. I recently had one with one of my emission hoses breaking in half. Ran ran terribly. Fixed hose. So I was wondering if this due to using a M42 head instead of a M44 __________________ EURO FRESH | | | 04-17-2015, 03:40 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | I'm not very knowledgable on coverage points for this conversion. If I can ask, what was the motivating factor to swap heads? Perhaps someone else that has done this swap can comment. Here are a few questions. Does the M42 head have a cam sensor and if so did you allign the trigger wheel correct? Any plugs without a home from the M44 harness to M42 head. I know you can do a M42 to M44 head and it will run but I'm not sure of doing it backwards or M44 to M42 without other mods so the computer is happy. Cams not alligned correctly will cause a crappy idle or no idle due to too much overlap. Good luck, John S | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
