Default Opinions....

Just wanted some opinions on the 08 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. I've been looking into them and kind of like them. It's got a 2.0l 152hp engine with a 5spd manual(wish there was a turbo) and I think it looks really sharp. I priced one out basically fully loeaded with navigation and a 650watt RF system for about 22k which Is not that bad. I'm thinking about going to the dealership sometime this week just to test it out then if I like it start saving some more cash for a down payment

I think it is a nice looking car. If you are going to drive that, also drive a Mazda3 for comparison as they have similar specs. Mitsubishi is bringing a turbo version over next year, the Lancer Evolution X (10), or Evo X as it is known state-side.

Go test drive the new VW GTI 2.0T with DSG. You'll crap yourself.

We are trading in the Acura TL for one.

It's available in 4 door too.

Default MazdaSpeed 3

For the money, I'd get the MazdaSpeed 3.
In the Car n Driver May issue comparo of Mazdaspeed3, VW GTi, Nissan Sentra SE-R specV, Subaru WRX and Mini Cooper S, it was rated highest.
The 2.3L turbo engine puts out 263hp and 280lb-ft of torque.
At less than $25K.........that is a bargain.
Plus......it's a 4dr hatchback............
I would easily give up my Ti if I don't love it so much.

I saw a show on the gti on the speed channel a few weeks ago. They were driving them around a track, I think one was a manual and the other was the auto with the laucnh control or the dsg. That's a little out of my budgit right now, but I'm just starting to browse around for something newer.

First of, I apologize for being biased, but......I always have a rule not to buy Mitsubishi products.
I have yet to experience/drive/owning one, but from what I've read, they have pretty crappy quality. Not too long ago, most Mitsubishi engines will not see the road past 60k miles.
Anyway, good luck with your search.
