Stupidity almost killed May, you shouldn't be anywhere near a tow rope when it's about to be yanked. Seen too many pics/videos of them snapping and injuring/killing people. It was a good episode though Watched the Aussie one before it, wasn't suprised, but kind of upset the edited the Mexican comments out. It was funny, and no more offensive than any other country __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. The new ep is awesome too, E30 in the cheap car challenge. Edit - I'm a huge top gear fan and I usually think its funny when they make fun of stuff/nationalities, but they spent wayyy too much time making fun of the Mexicans, most times its just a short quip but that was just too much, imo. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM Last edited by spidertri; 02-16-2011 at 03:01 AM. | | | 02-16-2011, 04:53 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Oxford, Ohio Posts: 868 | I saw that one, too. When they showed water dripping below the car I thought "another damned plastic coolant system fitting". Overall the engine did well but he had unkind words for the automatic transmission, which made the car perform poorly in all the challenges. I can't believe he did the HG overnight, too. | | | 02-16-2011, 01:04 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: back in PA Posts: 204 | I was in Iraq with an Aviation BDE in 2009 and when they were flying in the IL-76 looking out the windows, I was thinking, damn that sure looks like Iraq...sure enough. My first thought was the the two plastic coolant pipes too when the Z3 started leaking.....and an automatic too FTL. | | | 02-16-2011, 02:32 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Southwest England Posts: 379 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri Hah, when he opened the hood I was like "waaaaait for it...M44, nice!" lol. If you get a chance to watch out 'Live at 10 o'Clock' show that airs on saturdays on channel four (check a p2p site like oneddl.com), Charlie Brooker very wittily tears him a new one for it... | | | 02-16-2011, 05:33 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Chicago Posts: 111 | Yup, I fried my M44 as well. It's been more than a year since my Ti has been down. I motor is in, exhaust hooked up, wired, but doesn't crank (no fuel or spark). I think there might be an issue with the EWS. __________________ "Never trust a big butt and a smile" 97- 328Ti (daily) 01- S2K (auto-x, cruiser) 96- JDM Integra SiR-G turbo (1/4 mile, auto-x, road course, show) | | | 02-16-2011, 09:37 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | Quote: Originally Posted by dave45056 I can't believe he did the HG overnight, too. | Why not? I did my HG in 10hrs on my M50, and that included making a spring compressor so I could swap out some of the valves. Heck, I did one on an 02 Grand Cherokee in 4 hours __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. The dislike of the auto trans made it more amusing for me. I have to DL this weeks episode... __________________ No more ti. | | | 02-17-2011, 03:35 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Des Plaines, IL Posts: 147 | Somebody have a link to the top gear ti episode? | | | 02-17-2011, 04:16 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | finalgear.com __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-17-2011, 04:31 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | I prefer streetfire.net over finalgear, but that's just me __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS.
