If you had some different kind of rims, then maybe I would do the black, but they would have to have a polished lip. | | | 05-16-2006, 09:28 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Norfolk, Virginia Posts: 289 | I would not polish them, to blingy in my opinion. Id paint them black and leave the center indentation as is. So a black wheel, with a silver lip and center. __________________ _____________________________________________ Cold air, Dual Exhaust, Ellipsoid headlights, CCFL Angel Eyes, custom ICE, M3 wheels, Cobra Radar Detector, CF eyebrows, ACS CF gauge bezel, clear corners, Euro tail lights. I don’t think I would be satisfied with the finished result from merely painting but powder coating or just polishing would give a better finish. | | | 05-16-2006, 11:15 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Toronto Posts: 167 | Leave them as is or polish them but DO NOT paint them black. | | | 05-16-2006, 11:16 PM | #11 | doesn't care about you. Don't block the brakes!! They'll over heat, bad, bad, bad!! __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 05-17-2006, 12:46 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | it wouldnt block the brakes from cooling too bad because you still have your brake vents that funnel air directly to the brake pads. but you have a point it would reduce air and that would lead to heat on brakes. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 05-17-2006, 12:56 AM | #13 | doesn't care about you. I believe they either blocked them or removed them completely. Maybe check realoem.com and compare bumpers from 1997 to 1999? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
