Default Easy rear-speaker upgrade - Kicker DS-40 4-1/2"

Installed 4-1/2" Kicker DS-40 speakers into the rear bezels on my girlfriend's car last weekend ($49 at local Fry's)

The only non-standard tools required were tin snips to trim the mounting tabs from the Kickers and to cut the original speaker basket off, repourposing it into a retaining ring for the replacement speakers.

Photo names say it all:

My girlfriend was taking the pictures and said the final product shot didn't come out, but I can say it looked like it was from the factory.

The only think not shown in the photos is cutting the speaker baskets off, and in the end I took some cyanoacrylate glue (aka SuperGlue) to wick back in between the retaining ring and the bezel, locking it just as it was from the factory. But honestly the glue wasn't even really required.

Total time: 1:20

Huge upgrade !
