The higher the number K, the cooler they look. Split the difference, 6000k works great. When I do my fogs, I'm going with 8000k, just for looks. I think 2 different temp HIDs looks cool. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-17-2005, 07:48 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Malden, MA Posts: 672 | How do the bi-xenons work? I know that some of the newer cars have em'. Also, how hard would it be to mod a 9006 bulb to fit in a H7 hole. The reason I ask is because I have a really good price on an HID kit, but it's for a 9006 bulb, and sooner or later I will upgrade to angel eyes. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 12-21-2005, 10:36 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Hilliard, Ohio Posts: 122 | Quote: Originally Posted by Juni How do the bi-xenons work? | Bi-xenon headlight projectors have a low beam cutoff shield that flips out of the way when you engage the high beams, allowing a vertically higher light pattern. The shield is actuated by a electrical solenoid. Quote: Originally Posted by Juni Also, how hard would it be to mod a 9006 bulb to fit in a H7 hole. What do you consider a "really good price"? I carry brand new HID kits, with lifetime warranty, starting at $250 shipped. | | | 12-21-2005, 10:46 PM | #21 | doesn't care about you. He's your competition, I'm glad to see you guys don't try to sell sh1t like that. I was blown away by the pics L8 posted of that supercharger. I've had turds that look better than that. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-21-2005, 11:22 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Hilliard, Ohio Posts: 122 | He is? A kit like that doesn't seem like much competition for the Downing system. Their S50 intake kit was a cluster compared to how nice Eurosport's kit is too, so they're really burning bridges while trying to reinvent the wheel. If I know a company does a great job on something, I don't try to copy what they did in the search of higher profit margins. | | | 12-21-2005, 11:27 PM | #25 | doesn't care about you. Yeah, I'm not impressed with the work at all. Did someone send you a link, or did you find it on another forum? I've been wanting to post pics of this mess on DTM and bf.c but was waiting for everyone to get refunded. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-22-2005, 03:35 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Malden, MA Posts: 672 | Quote: Originally Posted by bimmer95 That really won't work, 9006 and H7 bases are massive different. Practically brand new, they would fit in my car now..........but, I would want to keep them when I swicth over to the euro headlights. Thats my dilema. __________________ "Power Rules, Smooth is Fast, Late Brake if you HAVE TO, But Always get the Inside Line.......and Fear No One." | | | 12-22-2005, 04:43 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: IDAHO Posts: 134 | 250$ huh? so 500$ and ill be good for both my fogs and my low beams? | | | 12-22-2005, 03:23 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Hilliard, Ohio Posts: 122 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT Did someone send you a link, or did you find it on another forum? Not sure why you're worried about posting about it on other boards... not like it's some horrible thing to let folks know what they're going to end up with. Definitely won't fit new headlights, but I bet you could sell off that kit for $100+ when you do switch to Euro spec lights. I know it's BS, but I didn't want to screw things up for L8 and his return. I'd hate to be responsible for him not getting a refund. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-22-2005, 04:10 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Hilliard, Ohio Posts: 122 | You can't sue someone for posting up pictures of something you sold to them... unless they signed a contract saying it was some sort of secret prototype design or something. Besides, it sounds like Amex will get him his cash back regardless. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
