Default Dinan parts FS from a 95 318ti

Dinan big bore throttle body...new was $350, sell for $200.(comes with tps)
DME with Dinan chip...chip alone was $200 will sell DME and chip for $200.
Both parts are from a 95 318ti that I did a engine conversion on, parts were used less than 1 year. The throttle body should fit all E36 M42's (92-95). The chip is said to be specific to the 95 318's equipped with the EWSII system. Keep in mind if you use the whole DME you will have to get your EWS system aligned at the dealer.

I am seriously interested in the chip and throttle body. I was wondering though about the EWSII system. I have a '95 (May build date) but I'm not sure wether it is an EWSII or not. From this post I got off Bimmerforums don't know wether the chip you have would only recognize your key:

Josh Bennett at Eurosport:
Quote:
The EWS to DWA chips are for those that need to disable their EWSII system for one reason or another. (usually during a motor swap).
EWSII uses a small chip in the key as a theft security measure

Did any literature w/ the chip give any description about the chip and EWSII? I have heard about the chip in the key but by appearance the key doesn't look like it has any type of contacts for the system to read a code.

Interested in the Throttle body. Would you need the stock one?

Not sure where Woodland Hills is, I am in Northern CA. 2 hours below San Fransisco and about 5 hours north of LA.

Mickd...here is the link to the Dinan application guide, go to page 128

My ti is a May build as well and it has EWSII, so yours probably does as well. You won't see any contacts on the key or anything. The chip is imbedded inside and sends a signal to that black plastic ring around your ignition switch. The ring is an antenna, it sends the signal to the EWS reciever which is mounted to the left of the column next to the interior relay panel, from there it goes to the EWS module which is under the glove box. After doing the engine conversion on my car, I brought it to the dealer and they aligned the EWS system...only charged an 1 hours shop time. My DME is # 0 261 203 282 (Dinan shows 2 diff part numbers for 95).

Viper3812, no I don't need a stock one, I did an engine swap to a M44.
