Default Caged 332ti track car/ race car f/s 12k!

Hey guys,

Here is a brief introduction about myself. My name is Dylan and I've worked at HMS Motorsport here in MA doing sales and building Stilo helmets. I bought my ti back in 08 bone stock. Started autocrossing, got the bug, volunteered as a photographer and advertising/membership assistant in the Boston Chapter of the BMW CCA. Since then I've done hillclimbs, autocross, and worked my way up the driving schools in my 332ti with COM, BMWCCA, and Hooked on Driving.

I know 318ti track cars and this one is an incredibly capable car. So any track/ racing questions please ask!

So about the car. 1996 318ti base model

Bone stock s52. Recent oil pan gasket, header gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gasket, oil pan nut weld, cruise control delete, frequent oil changes with Rotella. AFE CAI. Exhaust is a cut down UUC system U with DTM tips.

Transmission/drivetrain

-M3 zf transmission with Sachs m3 clutch kit. Less than 5k on the clutch. M3 driveshaft with new CSB.

-AKG red motor and trans mounts. 3.45lsd with 1 new half shaft and 1 rebuilt one. E30 half shafts with ABS retrofit. (Welded abs rings from ti shafts onto e30 ones.

-Suspension

Ireland Engineering poly subframe and RTAB bushings.

Stock control arms with solid offset m3 bushings and Mehle HD ball joints.

TC Klein 318ti kit with 600lbs rear and 500lbs front. No rear sway bar and 325is front bar with stock bushings.

Wheels

-D-Force LTW5 17x8 8.5 with Dunlop Z11 235-40 with plenty of life

Brakes

- M3 front assembly with cryo-stop rotors. PFC 01 pads. SS lines.
- Stock ti single disk rears with PFC 97 pads and SS lines.

Aero

-custom aluminum splitter with brake cooling ducts ($800 retail)
-Megan racing rear wing custom fitted to 318ti with reinforcement brackets.

Lights/appearance

-DDM depo HIDs

-DDM M3 Mirrors

DDM black grills.

Interior/Safety

-6-pt cage made my Cage-This with additional Hillclimb door bar. Fits BMWCCA club racing spec and Hillclimb.

-Cobra Sebring profit standard drivers side seat w/ cobra e36 one piece floor and side mount. Schroth Profi-2-6HANS belt.

-Cobra Suzuka GT passenger side with Recaro side plates bolted to the floor.

-Wink mirror.

-Momo 350mm suade wheel.

-M3 cluster with water temp gauge and electric fan.

Currently needs a windshield, hood, front bumper, and splitter is a bit bent. Very very minor damage. Hit a cone at NHMS going into the bowl with damged the splitter and the next day left my hood pins off and hood flew up into windshield on my last track day. I also suggest a new throttle cable because I used the 318ti one instead of the m3 one. Besides that it is extremely strong, fast and capable. It's not the cleanest e36 on the planet but worked perfectly for me. The interior still has the heater core and could definitely be tideyed up. The aftermarket fan has a hiccup and can be intermittent at times. The exhaust is also a bit crooked because it was the best I could do since I don't have a pipe bender. I think that sums up the car! Thanks for reading.

More pics to come!

Well sorted car for someone who wants a turnkey racer or a very enjoyable canyon runner. Excellent mod list! Let's see some more pics.

Thanks Bimmerbum! The original brakes (back when it was a 318) came from you and so did all the Ireland Engineering stuff! Great seller and excellent parts!
