325i differential

I need some help on deciding which type of differential to go with on my 94 325i 5sp. I want more of an off the line diff. even if top end is sacrificed.So my question is should I put an automatic differential on this or would that be to low?I would like to put the M3 diff. on, but it's too expensive for me right now so what are my choices?I'm looking for somthing less than $150 if there are any.I'm wanting to push into the 14's in the 1/4 mile so I figured this would be the best place to start.

If you do not have a limited slip diff you will want to get one if you are wanting to also change the final gearing. You will not get an LSD for less than 150. You can probably find a high mileage questionable quality diff for less than 150, but that may need work, or not work.

Thanks, So what would be the best one to go for and what price should I expect.Will a limited slip make much of a difference?Sorry if these are dumb questions but I don't want to blow money on a part that doesn't help.
