Default WTB: BMW

So I am looking to buy a E36 bmw. I would prefer a 318ti but I would settle for any E36 2 door 5 speed non convertible E36. The catch is I do not want to spend much over 3k as I am a poor college student just wanting a fun summer car.

I am located in Minnesota and do not mind traveling a small distance to get the car. If anyone has a car they would like to sell or know anyone who wants to sell a car like this that would be great.

Thanks
Chris

Check craigslist regularly. I've e36s within ur price range. It would have some miles on it though. Or something wrong on it. You might want to consider getting e36 with a problem that could be fixed easy. People would underprice a car because something doesnt work. I''ve seen many like that and it's a great investment too.
Good luck

Cool

I got my 318ti 95' sport off craigslist, for $1200
Only needed left hand drivers door mirror. it had 206,XXX miles
But since june I have had the car with no problems, I get 32 mpg highway.
I have never had so much fun driving. http://www.318ti.org/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

So very happy with my BMW
stick with the 318ti if you can find a good price and you will never regret it.

214,000 and still going strong

And that's exactly true. Mine has had some bad luck, with crashes and curbs. Only those are the reasons my ti is not in perfect condition. IT IS STRONG! This lady parked her SUV on my hood and my dad still drove the car home!!! It has a soul! haha

I really do not mind higher miles, I guess anything under 200k is exceptable to me. The things I do not want to deal with are rust, major body damage and huge mechanical issues. I am fairly savvy when it comes to working on my cars but body issues make me nervous.

Anyway, if anyone has anything for me, let me know.
