Default Rear "vent" window

Has anyone seen motors/actuators for the rear "vent" windows on the ti?

I have the extra empty slots next to the gear shift for rear window controls but have not seen a motor for them.
Does anyone have this or know of something that could work?

I'd love to be able to open them easily. I'm 6'3" and have trouble opening them up even when I lean the seat all the way back and stretch for the control. (not something i'm willing to try on the highway)

I open mine from the back.

There were electric rear pop windows on one of the 2 dr BMW's but I believe folks have tried and failed to install them on other cars.

same here, just open the hatch and you can get to them pretty easy, the extra spots are for heated seats

Sure I could open them from the back.
The extra slot looks like it could fit another window control.

I'm looking for an option so I don't need to stop my car to open a window.

IIRC, a couple of members attempted to figure this out a few years back... While there is a retrofit kit/solution for coupes, the c-piller in our cars is very different compared to a regular e36 coupe, so it was not a simple procedure...

If you have long arms, lower the seatback and reach for it. Have your woman steady the wheel for you. Works for me for the driver side. As I'm no knuckledragger, I still can't reach the passenger side.

Yea, that would, um, work.

I have seen minivans with a motor for vent windows, have not heard of anyone installing a motor for one in a hatchback.

I'll look around for one in an E36 Coupe.

IIRC, it was a euro option for the 328 and M3. Kind of on the expensive side too. it's do-able if you're electronically and mechanically inclined .

Thanks Marv!

Thanks CJ. Everyone there seems to be trying to add/modify what is currently there.

My plan is more to replace the "popper" with an electric motor.

I found the part for a dodge caravan vent/quarter window

Part# 4717606AB -Right
Part# 4717607AB- Left
at: www.chryslerpartsdirect.com

I'll look into it more to see how it works.
